Me and my experience

I studied sakes and wines at the Amsterdam Wine Academy and I am currently further deepening my knowledge on wines as a DipWSET student at WineWise school in Belgium.  What I love the most about wine? That is a never-ending journey that brings you to the most exciting places and allows you to meet the most fantastic people in the world!

My journey and passion for wine

I grew up in Italy, in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, where good wine and good food are important aspects of daily life. 

While wine has always been a passion, early on I envisioned a different path. In Pisa, I obtained my degree in History, followed by a degree in Livorno in Music and time spent as a teacher. That love for teaching has continued, as I enjoy learning new things myself just as much as I enjoy sharing that knowledge with others. Wine became more and more important when I moved abroad. Moving to the United States gave me the opportunity to truly begin to explore the full breadth of the world of wines. For the first time, the myriad of wine styles and opportunities found in the “New World,” which had always seemed so far away in Italy, was at my fingertips. It triggered a burning desire to learn more, and that was the moment that my passion became my profession. 

After moving back to Europe and landing in Amsterdam, I found a vibrant city with countless wine enthusiasts that pushed me to continue my journey in the wine industry. Today, I love spending time talking about wines and sharing my expertise with people that also enjoy this beautiful beverage.
