Founder’s Pick

Lebanon’s oldest winery, Château Ksara, was founded in 1857 by Jesuit monks who brought French vines to the Bekaa Valley. Their vision shaped modern Lebanese winemaking, establishing techniques and traditions still honoured today. The valley’s high-altitude vineyards sit between two mountain ranges, with long sunny days and cool nights that preserve freshness and aromatics. Ksara remains family-run and proudly independent, crafting wines that express both heritage and the character of the land.

This Blanc de Blancs is a brilliant expression of the region’s mix of history and innovation. The trio of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Chardonnay, planted by those early monks, thrives in the limestone-rich soils of the Bekaa. The wine is crisp, dry and full of energy, yet rounded and complete on the palate. It feels familiar in structure but distinctly Lebanese in spirit — a Mediterranean take on a classic French blend.

Tasting & Pairing

Tasting notes:

Expect layers of peach, citrus and green apple balanced by soft minerality and a gentle note of white pepper on the finish. Fresh, vibrant and beautifully textured; an effortless all-season white. A perfect match for mezze, grilled white fish, lemon-herb chicken or creamy goat’s cheese. It’s equally good with a citrus-dressed salad or a bowl of crisps shared among friends.
